I had the same realizations this Holiday season, but did learn a few things:

1. My kids have big hearts
2. When they want to, they can work really, really hard
3. I may not see the seeds planted now, but constant watering will pay off in dividends later...

So glad all the kids still had their heads! I think heads start falling off at about age 13, anyway...??</description>
